Murchison Falls is the widest National Park in Uganda.Uganda safaris Concentrated with hippo, crocodile and bird life, the Victoria Nile launch-strip below Murchison Falls is taken to be one of Uganda’s most exhilarating experiences. It is also part of the most excellent sites to spot the mysterious shoebill stork which survives in the papyrus swamps. On the way to the Murchison is the Budongo Forest which is the area’s biggest wild chimpanzee population.

Masindi is the lead way to Murchison Falls and the Budongo Forest. The national park’s office is located in the outskirts of the town with important booklets and general information on the site.

There are two routes between Masindi and Paraa (the headquarters of Murchison Falls National Park). The benefit of the Bulisa way is that it is extremely scenic as you go down the Rift Valley escarpment with the spot of Lake Albert.safari in Uganda

Bundongo Forest reserve is the most widespread mahogany forest in East Africa and occupies approximately 450sqkms. A probable 900 chimpazees exist in the forest and chimp tracking in the in the early hours of the morning has turned fashionable with tourists. More than 330 bird species have been registered,Kenya safari mostly unusual forest species for instance the blue-throated roller, dwarf kingfisher and grey chinned sunbird. Budongo contains one of the best recorded logging histories worldwide, and thus forms an outstanding site for researching about forest generation.

Murchison Falls National Park occupies 3840sqkm. The terrain is mostly savanna, with some ironwood forests and borassus palms. The park divided by the Victoria Nile flowing west in the middle of Lake Kyoga and Lake Albert.Rwanda safari The most famous outstanding feature is the 43m high waterfall, more famous for its raw power apart from its size.
